Space Flight by Crayon

Holly's kindergarten class just completed a unit on Space, and boy did she soak up all the information she could.  She can name the planets in order of distance from the sun -- including Pluto, which is now considered not a REAL planet but a dwarf planet, blah blah blah.  She is intent on going out to the Space Coast to see a rocket launch in person, but for now we have been watching videos online.  We watched several Space Shuttle launches, and the next day she brought me this series of drawings of a launch of her spacecraft.  It's not the Space Shuttle, but it's LIKE the Shuttle -- just more fabulous, as you can tell by the fact that it's purple.

Mainly I'm posting these for my rocket scientist friend Sarah and to show off my clever six year old.  :)

Here is Holly's spacecraft, which is LIKE the Space Shuttle
As you can see we are about two minutes into launch, and the solid rocket boosters are separating.
The solid rocket boosters are falling back towards the earth.
Oh now the SRBs are VERY close to the Earth!
Watery landing!  The solid rocket boosters have landed in the ocean with a great splash!
THE END!
